This project ventures into the process of Buying & Merchandising with George at ASDA being the retailer of focus. The range plan presented is essential in the range planning process , It consists of;Key silhouettes,trend direction&catwalk insp.Colour,fabric & print detail,size range&ratio,allocations,ways to wear & an instore display. The Range Board is simply the overview of the range with all 6 garments for Knitwear & its allocations presented. A Critical Path is utilized to manage progress of production & is essential in the communication with suppliers to ensure ETA is as planned.The critical path considers;garment details,lab dips,strike offs, quantity ordered,size ratio,sign offs,phasing & lead times. Commercial awareness & extensive knowledge of the George consumer was paramount in order to create the most suitable & informed range. As was getting the right amount of a certain line e.g core, fashion, trial to the correct level of store at the correct quantity to avoid losing cash.
